What better way to get a look at an artist's thought process than their sketchbook? I was taught by a wise professor to always carry one wherever you go. It allows you to appreciate your surroundings, take in your environment, and record your thoughts even through a busy lifestyle.

I love seeing structure, stylization, expressions, emotions, and the gesture of the marks made on paper. I think it shows a lot about how the artist thinks, how they react to things, and how they perceive what's around them.
